Professional Society For Colorado Lobbyists Launches With Grow-The-Pie Strategy

Posted: Oct. 15, 2017

Today marks the launch of a professional society of registered Colorado professional and state lobbyists.

The Colorado Lobbyists Association operates from offices in Aurora and is managed by Civica, the state’s largest manager of nonprofit professional societies and trade associations.

Membership in the Colorado Lobbyists Association is made up of lobbyists who make the strongest possible statement about their professional and ethical values. CLA members are committed to integrity, good works and high ethical standards. In a concerted effort to "grow the pie" for lobbyist services, membership in CLA also means lobbyists want more Coloradans to avail themselves of the expertise of CLA members.

Among other things, professional lobbyist members of the Colorado Lobbyists Association receive:

• Discounts on or free admission to association events, including online programs, breakfast series and annual retreats
• Access to members-only discussion groups facilitating collaboration between lobbyists
• Free listings in online as well as printed directories of membership
• Opportunities to network in person and online, outside of the state Capitol
• Access to RFP opportunities
• The satisfaction of knowing they support high ethical standards for the practice of lobbying in Colorado as well as the growth of the profession

Membership is in three classes: Professional, State and Affiliate. Members who are among the first 100 to join enjoy substantial first-year savings. Prospective members may review membership benefits here and join here.

An online Find-A-Lobbyist Directory for businesses and consumers is to be published Nov. 1, 2017.
